IT Systems Specialist
SKILLS:
Not all of the following skills are required, but the ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in as many of the following areas as possible :
Workstation: Windows OS, Linux OS, Mac OS
Server: Windows Server 2003-2012 (Active Directory, DNS, DFS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, Microsoft SQL, Print/File Services)
Server: Linux OS (OpenLDAP, Samba, FTP, Apache/HTTP, SQL: MySQL/PostgreSQL, DNS/BIND, DHCP, Mail: Sendmail/Dovecot/Postfix)
Infrastructure Networking: Switch, Router, Firewall, VPN
Network Based Storage: SAN, NAS, iSCSI
Security: Penetration Testing, Server Hardening, Vulnerability Scanning, Risk Assessment
Security: Organizational Policy Implementation & Review
Security: HIPAA, SOX & PCI-DSS Compliance
Virtualization: VMware ESXi/vSphere/vCenter & Microsoft Hyper-V Implementation/Debug
Cloud Services: Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure
Cloud Services: Office 365, Google Apps
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As an Experienced IT/Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for providing IT support to a wide variety of customers in different industries.
THE IT/SYSTEMS SPECIALIST:
Prioritizes, identifies, researches, and resolves IT problems related to the skills listed above
Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity
Has a flexible schedule and availability to support Company's systems sometimes after business hours if needed
Responds to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for IT support
Documents, tracks, and monitors help desk tickets to ensure timely resolution
Assists in the procurement of hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals
Performs routine maintenance functions, including audits and system maintenance
Completes special projects as assigned or assists other team members in the completion of projects or support issues as necessary
Manages all open issues and requests
Performs other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's or Associates Degree in the IT field.

years of work experience relevant to the skills listed above
Must be detail oriented
Must be available to work after hours, during the weekends, and holidays if needed.
Clean record; background/credit check will be performed.
Must be available to travel to businesses and homes
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work effectively in both independent and team situations
Strong communication, research, and troubleshooting skills
Work well and calmly in a high-pressure setting
Must be able to multitask and manage time effectively
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Well organized and willing to learn new things
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
