Summary:
The E-Learning Center Specialist provides Learning Management System administration, training, and technical support.
This role provides ongoing systems maintenance and systems strategy support to provide optimal learning management platform performance to support business operations.
The E-Learning Center Specialist reports directly to the Director of Arrow University.
Essential Functions Develop and maintain the Learning Management System to ensure data accuracy, integrity, course descriptions, and histories.
Lead LMS administration that assigns, delivers, assesses, records, tracks, and reports E-Learning courses and training programs.
Manage LMS activity to ensure course and curricula development, assignment, implementation, and evaluation processes within given timeframes.
Create user logins, assign user permissions, monitor user accounts, and reset passwords as needed.
Develop tracking mechanisms to identify employee training requirements and qualification status.
Utilize HTML & CSS on occasion for page development within the platform.
Accurately track new, deleted, and revised items in the LMS including course content, procedures, and assessments.
Maintain all LMS instructor course materials and provide support related to document control system requirements.
Performs LMS assignment creation and maintenance tasks.
Track escalated user problems and inform the user of the status.
Partner with Training Managers to document, design, and develop course content, procedures, assessments, and evaluations.
Act as an internal consultant by analyzing data and recommending solutions to utilize the LMS to deliver and track training and measure performance to meet organizational objectives.
Collaborate with the learners and trainers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to accessing the LMS.
Conduct testing of new web-based learning modules and publishes courses in the LMS.
Evaluate business requirements related to using and configuring LMS applications.
Convert existing instructor led training to web-based training using content provided by subject matter experts.
Analyze, identify, and communicate LMS system and business requirements to vendors.
Investigate and resolve any data or system inconsistencies or discrepancies.
Provide ongoing technical support to the LMS; research and resolve LMS functionality issues.
Manage projects involving creation of new processes in department to streamline existing processes in education tracking.
Maintain good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote employee satisfaction and retention.
Report issues to manager as per company policy Attend and complete training and meetings as required Perform other duties as required by management Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge and familiarity with an electronic LMS enterprise Knowledge and familiarity with course authoring tools such as Captivate Knowledge and familiarity with HTML/Java programming and website design programming Knowledge of database management Knowledge of MS Office including MS Project and MS Visio Knowledge of software tools to edit video, audio, design graphics, and edit photos, mobile learning Knowledge of networks, servers, and API's Knowledge of basic instructional design principles Customer service skills, responsive attitude Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to customize the environment and the experience of an LMS Ability to create effective slide presentations Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and as a team with minimum supervision Minimum Qualifications Compliance with Drug-free Workplace Policy Able to pass a pre-employment background check 1-3 years of experience administering a LMS (NetDimensions a plus) Able to work a 40-hour (minimum) work week Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed Physical Demands:
