com is hiring a Guest Services team member to ensure that our customers feel welcome and well cared for.
We are looking for a friendly, energetic person with great communication skills and an attention to detail.
This position is suited well for someone interested in pursuing a career in the salon and spa industry.
Located in a beautifully restored historic building, our luxurious salon and spa creates a nurturing atmosphere for our guests to nourish their hair, body and soul to a restored sense of well being.
As part of our front desk team, you will:
:
Greet guests and answer the phone.
Book and pre-book appointments.
Make product recommendations and promote retail products to guests.
Offer complimentary makeup touch-ups.
Upsell salon and spa services.
Open or close the salon as needed, including closing out the cash drawer, running reports and ensuring all end of night procedures are followed.
Stock and organize products and assist with receiving inventory.
Ensure efficient salon operations by assisting with laundry and addressing other day-to-day back-of-the-house responsibilities.
Maintain a neat salon environment, including the entrance hall, reception area, and.
Provide tours of the salon spa to prospective and new clients.
You must be an excellent communicator, enjoy being face to face with customers and enjoy being part of a team! This is NOT an office job! You will work 18-26 hours per week and be expected to work 1-2 evenings per week until 9 p.
m.
and Saturday - we are closed on Sundays.
The pay rate is based on experience.
We also offer group health insurance and paid vacation to employees that qualify.
You must have a high school diploma, speak fluent English and have 1 year of experience in a service business such as retail, hospitality, salons or spas.
Experience with Aveda products or other premier product lines is preferred.
